Why are my pessimist feelings so strong?
I always like to look on the optimistic side of life, but I am realistic enough to know that life is a complex matter.
Walt Disney, 1901–1966, American businessman and cartoonist
Pessimists tend to be more pragmatic, but nobody wants to be pessimistic, and most people attempt to stay as optimistic or positive as possible about the situations they find themselves in. Even though I am an optimist at heart, my mind instantly activates a pessimistic meter in my body that is fully charged with unfavorable possibilities anytime I find myself hanging in a difficult scenario. Even if I think this is the fundamental structure of a human being, there is a lot to manage, and with the level of competitiveness in the world today, pessimism may be normal. But I made an effort to see the bright side of things.
Optimism vs. Pessimism
It's been said that optimism breeds strength and pessimism breeds weakness, but in my opinion, 80 percent of individuals are more likely to be pessimistic because life is so complicated. In the real world, you have to be more realistic, but it's also true that you can't win a war without intending to win. Even though the battle hasn't started, if a warrior believes ahead of time that his opponent is stronger and that he has no chance of winning, he will have already lost the war before he has even set foot on the battlefield. This is why optimism is crucial: although life may be challenging, it is still possible to survive, just as situations may be challenging but still solvable.
It's better to be neutral.
Since it is improper to be overly optimistic or pessimistic about anything, it is best to encourage people to adopt a more neutral viewpoint because, in my opinion, each of these points of view has some validity. I myself can't identify with either of them entirely.
