Why I Respond To Every Comment
It matters…
One of the things that makes this blogging life so great is that sense of community. I love interacting with other writers and bloggers and that’s always been one of my very favourite things about content creating and blogging.
Interacting
So naturally, I’m going to interact with people.
I love getting comments on my posts, both here and on Substack and WordPress. I love hearing people’s opinions, thoughts and ideas, whether that’s on a film review, music listicle, political article or literally anything else. And I love commenting on their stuff too. I try to comment as much as possible and I love it when they reply.
Comments
I think it’s important to reply to the comments you receive. It’s important to give back and show your appreciation and that you value people’s contributions. People take the time to read your stuff and comment, so that’s pretty much the least you can do, especially considering how fickle this business is, with the rise of vlogging and visual content.
I’ve replied to every comment I’ve ever received, except for the ones that have literally passed me by, without me realising it — and I apologise for that!
All in all, I’ve interacted with people as much as I could across my various mediums and I think that’s one of the essential aspects of blogging life.
