Why When Your Articles Get Posted Doesn’t Matter
A few days ago, I submitted an article to a new publication, but it hadn’t been posted for almost two hours.
So, I decided to submit another article to a publication I know well.
The second article was posted within ten minutes, and then, not long after, my first article was also published. I now had two articles published within 20 minutes of each other.
This bothered me a bit, but then I started to think about it.
We have two different articles published in two different publications with different tags. There should be no actual conflict here as it’s getting distributed to different people at different times depending on when they log in. Also, only a tiny fraction of those people will see one of those posts, so there should be zero concern.
Sometimes, we get worked up over nothing, as both those articles did well, so my worry was unjustified.
What would happen if I sent three articles to different publications at the same time?
This seems like a good experiment to try out for fun.
Some publications might take hours to publish, and if they all go simultaneously, then it likely won’t matter anyway.
