If you want to change your life, master the cold approach.

Doesn’t matter if you’re trying to start a business, land a better job or get someone’s phone number. All of these pursuits live and die by your ability to approach a stranger and build rapport.

If you’re an introvert, you need practice.

Start getting reps in by going out of your comfort zone and reaching out to someone every day. Build it into your daily routine and watch who you turn into.

After all, how are you going to write about people you’re too afraid to get to know? You’ll never leave an impact unless you make a bold statement. No one pays attention to timid writers, because their writing is as unremarkable as they are.

Their names will be forgotten in three generations, no more.

If you’re building a business, you have to get comfortable with cold outreach. The same rule applies for dating and job hunting. I aim to talk to at least 10 strangers a day. Not just anyone though, I seek out interesting and ambitious people, men and women of character.

You’re only rate-limited in life by your own negativity. Doubts, fears and insecurities. Giving in to them means hiding from the problem instead of dealing with it.
