Writing a Book Will Challenge You, Change You, & Show You Who You Are — From a 2X Author
Write a book — not because the world needs it but because you need to go through the process…at least once.
As a girl, I wanted to become an author.
…among so many other things. But this one stayed the longest.
I remember enacting giving interviews, signing copies (my old notebooks), my face on the cover page…the whole act.
Most parts have not turned into reality (yet), but becoming an author — that’s a tick. And not one…two books (yes, there’s a tinge of pride).
I will admit this: When I started my first book, I did it for its cosmetic value (it would ‘look good’ as a writer)…and, of course, boost my credibility.
Because the word ‘author’ tags along a certain respect. Like the dragonslayers of the old times. Most dream of it, few try their hand, and a handful finish it.
Well, little did I know that writing a book would be very similar to slaying dragons. That, by the time I wrote the last sentence, so much would have changed in me.
After two books, now I know why.
