Writing is Like Riding a Rollercoaster

Plenty of ups and downs along the way

Writing for a living is a little more complicated than typing out words on a keyboard.

You will face many challenges along the way and plenty of setbacks. How you respond to these different situations will ultimately determine your outcome.

Despite all of the success stories you read on the internet, most people will fail as a writer.

Trying to earn a living while writing is not easy and it’s even more of a challenge while trying to compete with machines that can generate articles within seconds.

I’m not trying to be negative, but I’m just giving you the reality of the situation. Many online gurus act like writing is a path to riches, but all they really care about is taking your money while you buy their overpriced course.

If something sounds too good to be true, it’s probably a lie.

Selling courses and sharing your “secrets” is a lot more profitable than actually writing if someone is well-known enough. Many new writers are naive and it’s easy to take advantage of them by selling them a dream that most likely isn’t going to happen.

Anyway, I feel like I’m getting too negative, so let me give you an example of dealing with setbacks.
