Humans Have Engineered Physical Activity Out of Life.

Have you ever noticed how humans have slowly engineered physical activity right out of our lives?

It’s like we’ve taken a great, big eraser to the things that kept us moving.

Most of the credit goes to startups and businesses that have exploited our lazy brains, offering us immense comfort at every turn.

Sure, they’re solving problems and feeling impactful, but do we really need our problems solved to such an extent?

Do we need this much comfort?

Let’s think about it for a moment.

“Oh, you have to walk to the general store for groceries? Wait, we’ll deliver them to your home!”

And while we’re at it, let’s throw in:

  • Cabs: Why walk to your destination when you can summon a car at the touch of a button?
  • Elevators: The stairs? Pfft. Why exert yourself when you can glide effortlessly to your floor?
  • Escalators: Even the stairs that move for you! It’s like a treadmill but with no sweat!
  • Home Deliveries: Why step outside when you can have a meal delivered faster than you can say “I’ll just order in”?

This avalanche of comfort is only beneficial when you use the time you save for something high-value.

If you save two hours with Zomato but spend that time scrolling through reels, you are doomed!

Without any physical activity in your day, you’re setting yourself up for disaster.

Motion is lotion for both body and mind.

All this comfort is harmful if not used wisely.

Let’s make it clear: prevention is always better than cure.

Imagine your body as a car.

If you only use it to drive to the nearest coffee shop, you’ll eventually run into issues.

Similarly don’t be a slave to your lazy brain seeking comfort all around.

It’s all about balance

Embrace comfort, but don’t let it rule your life.

The next time you think about calling for a cab, ask yourself: “Could I walk instead?”

The true challenge isn’t the level of comfort, it’s the lack of movement.

Get moving, because your health is worth the effort!
