Out of Africa & Into the Cloud is an interesting book that details the pathway Dr. Isi Idemudia took to learn programming in Nigeria and land a lucrative career in the United States. Dr. Idemudia has a very analytical mind, and this book is laid out in a very organized fashion that clearly frames problems and outlines solutions.

At 103 pages, the book contains a lot of photos and is a very quick read. I found myself becoming curious about more of the external challenges Dr. Idemudia faced and overcame. This book is very empowering because it has a strong emphasis on identifying elements and providing solutions for things that are within an individual’s ability to control.

There aren’t a lot of personal stories, but this book is remarkable in that it manages to dilute a philosophy of success into a sequence of short and easily comprehensible concepts. If you are a person who is feeling overwhelmed by the burdens of work, education, or family, this book contains useful information that is easy…
