Most people will automatically say that it is important to get a college education. While I agree that a college education will help a person both, personally and professionally, I also believe that one must consider the varying levels of a college education. The cost of a college education is paramount in determining whether the investment into obtaining a college education is worth the return.

When considering what level of education to work toward, one must be realistic in their goals. The degree should fit the career goals. There are various degrees of education to consider; from certificates to a PhD degree.

A college degree accounts for a sharp rise in earning potential, opposed to workers without a college degree. Recent information supports that unemployment goes down and earnings go up, as the level of education climbs.

The cost of any level of education does warrant the return on investment.
