Getting Started on Medium

Starting out can be a daunting task. Especially if we do not have proper guidance. Where do we start?
I wanted to create a publication where people can gain experience writing and publishing their articles. So I created the publication ‘Write For Us’.
This publication is exactly what it sounds like. We want to give new writers, as well as vetted experts, a platform for showing publishing their articles.
Where to start
No matter what your topic or genre, you need somewhere to begin. You can develop your style as you build your skills. But first you need to get started.
There are many articles you can search out for advice on how to get started writing articles. Generally you want to make sue a paragraph has at least two sentences.
There is not hard and fast rules to blogging. You can generally just start off with what ever comes to mind.
What are you passionate about
You might want to look at what interests you in life when seeking what topics to write about. You probably have fresh insights on something.
You might want to give advice on travel, cooking, pets, or just about anything that comes to mind. What was the last vacation you went on? Did anything exciting happen?
Maybe you are frustrated with a relationship? Maybe you are very stable in a relationship. Maybe you just want to go for a walk and want to talk about your day.
Start your writing journey
Go ahead. Click on the little icon to the left and write your first article. You can seek to write for us at https://medium.com/write-for-us by submitting your article. Select the Publication icon, then select stories, and submit your draft. It has to be a draft, and not a published article.
