Writing Prompts Can Be All-Around if You Have Eyes to See
Look at the world differently for a new vision
Many successful writers say, “Pay attention to life,” as a slap the hand to the forehead moment of disconnectedness and nonunderstanding. It’s hard to find a successful writer who remains humble and likable. Often the ego grows so large that it crowds out a vision of someone you want to follow. Writers who struggle to find a topic to write about think there’s magic somewhere they haven’t seen yet. There has to be an endless list of ideas hidden somewhere like buried treasure.
Without sounding too corny, I think there are endless ideas. And they aren’t as challenging to find as you might think.
How do you decide what to write about?
Use a Formula
There’s no shame in using a formula or a template. Someone goes first and shares steps you can follow. The process becomes simple, and like an equation, you can fill in the blanks with your own ideas, stories, and voice. The writing is yours to make anything you want it to be, and the formula is easy to follow for mass output. There’s nothing wrong with using a proven formula.
For me, it’s some combination of Idea + evidence + supporting quotes + psychology = finished story.
