The Tools That Run My Business

Tools and systems and accounts, oh my!

When it comes to running a business, organization and time management are the most crucial pieces.

If you can’t meet deadlines or lose track of client details or don’t know what to do first and get paralyzed and procrastinate, your business can’t grow. It might crawl along and do okay for a while, but it won’t flourish and thrive without some structure.

Don’t get me wrong — part of the appeal of being your own boss is to do it your way and work on things that interest you.

But don’t get it flipped — having your own business is still work.

We’ve all heard the romantic quote: “If you do something you love, you’ll never work a day in your life.”

Totally untrue.

The truth is that when you do something you love, you’re happier to put in the work to make it work for you.

While there are many tools and systems out there, I have found a mix of free and paid ones that work best for me to run my business efficiently and stay organized.

As an important note, ALL of the expenses listed below are tax-deductible business expenses.
