Various tales or stories of serial killers are known to us. These stories give a shiver to some people, while others love writing about them. Some of the world’s worst killers turned their victims to soap, while others murdered people for the sake of blood.

Thug Behram (c. 1765–1840) was the King of the Thugs. He was leading a group of killers, and they were active in Oudh, northern central India from the 18th to 19th century. He is often regarded as the world’s most dangerous serial killer and is said to have been involved in the murders of 931 people. From 1790 to 1840, he killed these many individuals with a ceremonial rumāl. This was a special type of handkerchief his cult used as a garrote. Until now, only 125 murders have been confirmed, but it is widely said that Thug Behram brutally killed up to one thousand people.
