A Poet’s Contemplation on Snow
And time to release and let go (response to Moon challenge #9)
snow
flakes
falling
chandeliers
chiming in the wind
pattering against the snowpack
sounds of silent storms
pretty words
poem
depth
lacks
poet reached for his pen
to release those alliterative and onomatopoeic images for you
hope you enjoyed them
I’m bidding prosody adieu for a while
it’s time to let go
of what’s become so familiar
and habitual
almost a rite
holding court in my hypnagogic and hypnopompic space
such a fitting end to this cycle, that first stanza was a to and fro fibonaiku
and this
a
descort
My poem responds to Tree Langdon’s Poetry Challenge Under The Moon #9, Release, to “Write a poem [in any form] about releasing or letting go.”
