After four hours on the plane, Leroy was ready to get as far away from the airport as possible. Kristen thanked the flight crew, while Leroy grumbled and wouldn’t look at anyone. She lightly tapped him upside the back of the head for being so rude.

“What the hell, Kristen?” Leroy snapped.
Kristen glared at him, “You’re being a jerk to the people who just took care of us for four hours.”
“Um, well, the first two hours they couldn’t even tell us what was going on.”
“They did explain it to you after you kept harassing them, Leroy. You’re just pissed still about Jim and Wendy wanting us to stay on the West Coast.”
Leroy responded, “You’re right, I am pissed off about that. How do they know we couldn’t be of any help in New York?”
Kristen was getting annoyed now, “Leroy, I’ve known you for how many years? You’ve never once mentioned having any connections in New York. When we’ve been in New York, you’ve never visited anyone or had meetings with anyone other than Wendy.”
He started to respond, “Well… I… never mind.”
“That’s what I thought. Now just relax and wait for the next job to come in. Maybe Jim and Wendy will call on us before that to say they need us.” Kristen said, always being the voice of reason.
