Shortly after the jet took off, Dr. Marx relaxed with his eyes closed when his phone started buzzing. He looked down to see Janice, his secretary was messaging him.
“Hi, Dr. Marx. I wanted to let you know that I got to Rio Rancho about an hour ago. A few staff members arrived at their hotels already and we will meet at the old office in the morning. Once I get my laptop connected to charge, I will log in to the system and watch the jet’s progress. Please text me as soon as you land just in case I fall asleep.”
Dr. Marx responded, “Hello, Janice. I’m happy to hear you arrived in Rio Rancho so quickly. The office should still be in good shape because a cleaning service visits weekly. Mr. Felix and I are about an hour into our flight, so we have a few hours left until we arrive on the East Coast. I’m glad I had our technicians install that device on the jet several months ago. Please keep an eye on it just in case something happens. The tension between Mr. Felix and me is pretty bad right now. He’s not too pleased with the destruction of The Conservatory.”
