While the private jet flew to New York, Dr. Marx sat with peaceful music playing in his earbuds. The flowing sounds of rain lulled him right to sleep. Across the aisle, Mr. Felix had his laptop open and worked on a spreadsheet focused on his businesses’ profits and losses.
Due to the fire, The Conservatory was a total loss which he would have to clean up and then try to flip the property. Another possibility was to have his people on the East Coast produce a blueprint for a new venture. Maybe he could even expand on one of his current businesses. All things to think about over the next few days and weeks: right now, though, Mr. Felix was still fuming over the destruction done in New Mexico.
Mr. Felix grabbed his phone and walked to the back of the jet so he wouldn’t disturb his flying companion. Once seated again, he called his office in New York.
A female voice answered, “Unified Nexus, this is Gina speaking. How may I help you?”
“Hello, Gina. This is Mr. Felix. How are you today?”
“I’m doing well, sir. Thank you for asking. How are you?” Gina responded with a perky voice.
