Protected —
by a barrier
built up over
years.
Seeing everything
from the other side
day after day,
year after year.
Shielded —
from pain
and suffering.
Guarded —
from experiences
that will cause
anxious moments.
A sheltered life,
taken care of
by those who mean
the most.
Time —
to break the glass,
take a chance…
At life.
