Walking through darkness, ashen sunlight, trying to escape chains binding her to a sullen life, she feels the soft breeze of wings kissing her eyes.
She blinks, blinks a second time and the sky becomes clear, sunlight warms her face with a moment of joy embracing her soul.
A butterfly dances a pirouette in her heart and she spreads her wings, learning to dance through a bleak existence.
