Rousing from sleep feeling whimsical,
her serene slumber yielding delicious dreams,
ethereal visions of enchanting elixirs,
spells, magic, and witchery, she knew

her time had come

You see, butterflies — crowning a wreath
of jewels upon her spiraling amber locks —
darted away as her eyelids fluttered awake,
then, the moon — wispy with secrets —
veiled herself behind a cloud

inviting transformation

And, rolling off the fragrant lily pad upon
which she was perched, lips budding,
cheeks aflush, cerulean eyes
a window to the vast sea of her soul,
the tides of change swirled within

And, with delicate fingers clasping
a magic coin bag— the hue of shallow seawater — 
encased in trinkets and pearls,
bursting with crystals, buttons, and
and potions of protection, she queried
