Colossus, Everything
A poem

I tried to be your Colossus, everything,
shoulders of a giant,
unshakeable, always.
I wish you could understand
what these grey clouds mean,
when I’m just a fallen statue
doing the best I can.
(All that time you thought
you saw me standing tall,
I was barely hanging on.)
I wish you could understand,
but I pray you never will.
