After separating from the Command Module, leaving astronaut Michael Collins to orbit the dark side of the moon solo, the landing module Eagle touched down in the crater called The Sea of Tranquillity. Pilot and mission Commander Neil Armstrong was forced to take semi-automatic control to avoid touching down on a rocky surface.
