Divergence and Convergence
A poem
neurodivergence
infirmity or honor
who should say which is
people pick and choose labels
as fits fucking narratives
fuck I do declare
bullshit when y’all step in it
and think feet don’t reek
oh that prick has Aspergers
but ass just sociopath
stop with excuses
too easy when fear they spread
worse is fake love too
realize we’re all on spectrums on a
rainbow bridge back to heaven
Grace Notes
This poem, or at least the beginnings, percolated in my subconscious since I read this NYT guest essay many hours but less than yesterday ago (that choice of words honors the time zone differences among us). It’s titled “I Was Diagnosed With Autism at 53. I Know Why Rates Are Rising.”
