Eclipse

Usually armed with immeasurable courage and ambition,
and first on the scene.
The bold and fiery one, now reduced to a lonely spark.
Fast fading, along with the dying embers.

Heavy with apprehension,
very essence under threat.
The dark night of the soul on hand.
Just able to whisper a plea upwards to be reignited.

Summoned to orbit the weary soul,
they all arrive on time, perfectly aligned.
In their totality, shifting and releasing new energy,
ready for the (r)evolution.

The curtain is briefly drawn for shadow work,
the healer ready to cast aside all woes.
Backstage a gentle breath of life gets blown in,
eclipsing the very weight of the heavy wounds.

Primordial glimmers of hope trickle in,
as the light starts to filter through.
The path now adorned with cosmic wisdom,
fanning the flames of renewal.

Poems that eclipse time:

To all the cosmic wonders that marked the 8 April 2024 total solar eclipse.
