A term — “Laughable”.

Can you imagine how terrible my job is? I create a list of three names every six days (one for every two) for an earthly award. The one with the highest votes of the gods wins.

Criteria? Oh, it depends on what their mood is during the time of voting.

1st candidate

Kendra, A Kind Liar
She is kind. She sees to it that she will never say the wrong things. Wrong to her is:
• Anything that might offend others
• Anything that could start conflicts
• Anything that could make others uncomfortable

She is a liar. To say the right things she consistently filters what to say. She pauses every time she answers questions. She thinks twice or more about whether she needs to speak her mind. In anger, she walks away as she tries to calm herself. Most of the time, she smiles. She offers help without the need to ask.

2nd Candidate

Nakshim, A Brutal Righteous
He is righteous. He upholds the rules. He ensures that they are properly implemented and followed. He is willing to do what he can to maintain order. A strong brute force is needed to maintain order;
• He monitors every activity
• He is consistently strict in every move
• He never hesitates to correct anything that is against the rules
• He is firm and straightforward
• He purposely makes people feel uncomfortable

3rd candidate

Taki, An Immoral Lover
A lover can’t limit affection to a person. A lover feels so intense that he cannot contain himself. A lover seeks to include others, finding ways to share and give more. A lover loves because he wants to. There is no way for a lover not to pull in. It is in the way he moves, the way he speaks, it is his way of living.

How can a lover love completely when society accuses him of things that come with love? Society requires him to abandon himself, expecting him to be anything but himself.

We condemn each other when we are all nothing but mirrors of our contradictions.

I heard them laugh— the gods.
