I Am Here and See and Hear You
I will wait until you are better
I see behind the
airs of concealment,
the tears and
emptiness,
recent history reverberating,
tugging and
burning,
holding you back,
keeping you captive,
hearing
wounded whispers and
wailing.
I catch you crawling on all fours,
searching for
something treasured,
taken,
and wasted,
fragments of
your heart,
in a nightmarish reality,
warping your beautiful essence.
I receive your barren eyes,
open but
blocking unwanted stares,
a stray soul amid affliction,
hungering for
deliverance and
healing of deep cuts —
needing acquiescence.
