I Do Not Wait for Love

a poem and a response

Photo by Simon Hermans on Unsplash

I do not wait for love
to come for me;
a narrative of going out
and actively building
comes to mind.

this isn’t about forcing love
where no love exists
and blaming another
for not connecting with you
the way you have with them.
