On the 19th of December
A day all loved ones remember
Larry and Julie beamed with mirth
the day Nancy Robin came to Earth
and began a life oh so tender

Your heart filled with the heat of embers
for each and every family member
All celebrate your unsurpassed worth
Joyful day

You fill the world with such splendor
that all bow before you in surrender
Empathy and compassion never dearth
You fill the world with these from here to Perth
Unconditional love you engender
Joyful day

Thank you Ravyne Hawke for the prompt to write a “Joyful _____” rondeau. I had not written one before and when I looked at the form it seemed ripe to use for the birthday poem.

Please feel free to leave birthday wishes for Nancy in your comments.
