The diner that Dr. Marx and Mr. Felix stop at while waiting for the driver to come and bring them to the airport.

  • This is the beginning of a new story involving characters from The Accident.

Mr. Felix and Dr. Marx walked into the diner and sat at the counter. The driver said with the chaos going on back at the site of The Conservatory, the traffic is hell to get through. It was going to be at least a half hour to forty-five minutes before they would be picked up.

Dr. Marx tried to make small talk with his companion, “So, Mr. Felix, I know we are going to New York, but what are we going to do about the remains of The Conservatory?”

“What do you mean by what are WE going to do? There is no we here. It’s your establishment, so you deal with it. Fill out the forms, file the claims. I’m sure you’ll get the insurance money and can rebuild or whatever. I don’t want my name mentioned anywhere on the paperwork. I was a silent partner in this. As far as you are concerned the money was given to you as a charity from an unknown source.” Mr. Felix sounded quite angry and wasn’t messing around.

“But everyone knows you had an office in the building and were somehow involved with the establishment.” Dr. Marx tried to make a point.

Grumbling under his breath, Mr. Felix responded, “No, that’s where you are wrong. I…
