My
heart:
You won’t
swap failures
for vain victories.
Failures have classified your past,
decorate your present and will shape your time to come.

You’re beyond all outcomes, proud pride and cindered embers.
Your grief has winsome silky threads,
hung up with courage.
Not yet healed:
Light in,
fresh,
open.

With thanks, and in response to Tree Langdon’s prompt on Fibonacci. The sequence I have composed is 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13 and the same in reverse.

Grateful to Claire Kelly and Team for publishing my poem.
