May Your Sorrows Part the Waters

A poem to our inner beings

Photo by Jordan Ling on Unsplash

OH INNER BEING BLESSED BEYOND KNOWING,

CARING, LOVING THE CALL OF THE BIRD

WHOSE SONG YOU CANNOT NAME

BUT WHO TRILLS A VERSE FROM SOURCE,

I LOVE YOU DEARLY INFANT, SOUL, TEEN AND GROWN-UP.
