Out of Sight

The train

The air was crisp
taking a train like this
was a risk
oddly she felt no doom
she knew the train had room

The old and crinkled ticket
seemed to melt in her hand
as clouds obscured the moon
scattered drops of rain
came as a cool relief
and washed away
her last remnants of grief
