Rabbit Run
A poem
Apr 1, 2025
The rabbit is sneaky,
he’s ready to flee,
Where he might go
is the key.
His eyes piercing,
agenda quite
the mystery,
Perhaps he just wants
to hide from the wind
which is blistery.
What does he see
hidden deep in the woods
beneath all the trees,
It just might be a snake
slithering over and under
the branches and leaves.
A noise in the distance
gives him a scare,
But then he sees it’s his friend
The Lunatic Poet
running around
without a care.
