Snow Fall
A Poem
Night falls
and the crow’s calls
halt in a bed
of silence.
Street lamps glisten,
spotlights highlighting
the empty roads
and snow fluttering
through the air.
A glaze of ice
blankets the pavement<
shimmering
in its glassy glory
for all to see.
A shovel can be heard
in the distance,
scraping the sidewalk
creating a snowy-lined path
for passersby.
A family of deer
trot through
a yard,
spotting cover
underneath nearby trees.
Children looking out
bedroom windows,
quietly wishing
for no school
the next day.
Flames burn brightly
in the fireplace,
warming the house
with comfort and joy.
