Life and music are inseparable.

Agree? Disagree?

Our lives are all about the struggles to retain

- the best beats of our hearts,

- the stable rhythms of lifestyle

- the balanced thrums in the strings of relationships

- creating the melody of bliss and contentment.

Right?

The universe runs on the musical charts of rhythmic- consistency, orbital stability, and constant expansion.

Yet, it is strung to each element and matter in the divine music of staccato beats of each life.

We, humans, have strived through centuries to encapsulate this universal music into raga and taala.

The cultural legacies of the timeless past have survived in the echoes of our musical. heritage.

The ever-expanding musical realms reflect the expanding realms of this universe yet retain the defining moments of the very beginning of existence.

The legacies of our ancestors are also bequeathed to us in the form of musical instruments. Instruments made out of the very Nature from which they extracted the essences of music in beats, rhythms, and melody.

One such instrument that has. been gifted to us by the doyens of Indian music, especially in the renowned and unique Carnatic music, is the Ghatam.

Heard about it?

In the fast-paced, segregated world that we live in, music is the only entity that compels the ethereal quality to snatch a moment of pause and bring humanity together.

Ghatam is one of the oldest roots that have nourished our musical harvest.

So, this Sunday, indulge in the divinity of ancient music and the ever-transcending new boundaries of modernity.

Follow its musical path (link) to know the rich staccato of our heritage it has carried into the 21st century @ThisDay.

Do not forget to add the strum of your words in the comments and spare some 🧡s to beat with them.

Have a harmonious and blissful week ahead.
