An office at The Underground…
Veronica sits down at her desk and dials a number, “Hey, Helen, it’s Veronica. I spoke to Wendy, and she says that she is a bit busy right now. It may be a few days before she gets back to Dr. Marx.”
On the other side of the conversation, Helen responds, “That’s fine, but you should know that it wasn’t Dr. Marx asking to speak to Wendy.”
“If it wasn’t Dr. Marx, then who was it?” Veronica asks, biting her lip like she does when she is nervous.
“It was Mr. Felix. He is one of the founders and financiers of The Conservatory.” Helen answers.
Veronica takes a deep breath before responding, “Oh, shit! Why is he so interested suddenly?”
Moving into the hallway, away from Dr. Marx’s office, Helen responds, “From the conversation I had with Mr. Felix not too long ago, he wants to know why any information about Jim Foster is being kept from him. He seems to think the doctor is holding back and that Jim is some kind of important person that…
