An Office in The Conservatory…
A balding, overweight man grabs his phone and dials a number. “Hello, Helen. Can you get Dr. Marx on the phone for me? I need to know what is going on with Mr. Foster.”
“Hi, Mr. Felix. I will page him for you right away.” Helen responded.
“Thank you, Helen. Do you know anything about this patient? The doctor seems to be keeping tightlipped about the recovery process.” Mr. Felix says angrily into the phone.
“No, sir. I don’t know anything. I’ll see about getting the doctor to call you right away.”
Mr. Felix grunts, “Better yet, tell him I would like him in my office immediately. I want to see the doctor squirm when I ask him my questions. This freaking guy thinks he runs this facility. It seems Dr. Marx has forgotten who the REAL boss is.”
“I will send him up to your office as soon as I can, sir.” Helen says in a higher pitched voice.
“Thank you, Helen. Just so you know, his actions are in no way a reflection of the job you do here. I know I ask a lot, but you perform your job very well.” He says politely.
