The Lunatic and His Pets

The Lunatic Poet forgot
his manners,
forgetting to introduce
his beagle and four felines
known as The Mad Catters.

The cats sleep
all through the day,
late at night
they race around and play.

The beagle, named Bingo,
lays on the couch sleeping
and watching the crazy cats
who are constantly sneaking.

Eating snacks
and wanting all the cuddles,
the cats drive the Lunatic crazier
than Rabbit Man’s smoking
and drug-related struggles.

The Lunatic Poet was in a block,
he had no sentences,
no ideas to write,
then he began to write
about The Mad Catters
crazy night.

The words started to flow,
The Lunatic was happy,
the sleepless nights
caused by the Mad Catters
had been making him slaphappy.
