A digital illustraton with some collage elements. The scene is a very dark macabre kitchen with an open door. Outside the door appears to be a grave and shovel. Inside the kitchen a little girl in a short blue dress is holding the hand of a tall woman in a fleshy pale reddish dress. Her head and shoulders are cut off by the top of the image. Both figures are barrefoot. The line work is loose and minimal. Art by Doodleslice 2024

Hello Auntie!

Why did you call me auntie, Pumpkin?

Because you’re Mummy’s twin sister — You’re Auntie Daisy!

Silly Goose! You know I don’t have a sister, two brothers, yes, but no sisters. Now stop teasing Mummy.

You’re the one who’s teasing, Auntie Daisy

Now stop it! That’s not funny. Mummy doesn’t like this game.

Oh Auntie Daisy,
You’re being lazy
Your mind is hazy
That’s what all the villagers say

I’m not your auntie, I’m your Mummy!

Oh Lazy Daisy!
You’re so funny
Aren’t you tired?
You’ve worked so hard
Digging turnips in the yard
All those turnips!
Roots buried deep!
White as bones
Piled in a heap
And there you are
Needing to sleep
But look, there’s so much dirt to sweep
