What is the true cost of living in San Francisco? San Francisco is 62.6% higher than the U.S. average and housing is nearly three times more expensive than in other U.S. cities. I am currently living in San Francisco and I also work in San Francisco; I get the minimum wage which is $14/hour and it is hard to pay rent when I make such an amount of money San Francisco should increase the minimum wage.

San Francisco should increase minimum wage because living in the city is more expensive than other cities. In San Francisco people who work in restaurants doing dishwasher, get the minimum wage and they need to pay the rent. According to A.Brinklow, In San Francisco that’s $3,018/month for a two-bedroom apartment. According to this quote people who make $14 dollar is hard to afford the rent for it. These people who work 8 hours at the day, only get $3360 for a month. It’s means the that money people get is not enfog for paying rent, the cost of food is Higher. Parking is expensive.
