Most immigrants experience racism, and people of color as well. I have experienced racism but in embarrassing situation. I used to go to a different high school, and in that high school is where I’ve experienced racism. On 9/11 in my chemistry class I sat all the way in the back. The teacher told the class today is memorial day. Once the teacher said today is 9/11 most of my classmates, turned back and stared at me for like 5 seconds. I left the class right away. From that day I used to skip my chemistry class.

Racism is one of the biggest problems in United State. Immigrants are on the top of everyone’s list who face racism in United States nowadays. United State new president has made some decisions that made immigrants feel uncomfortable. They are threatened to face more. Most immigrants are trying the best they could to stay out of the president’s decisions. One of the decisions is to deport undocumented immigrants. This decision is unfair because there are many immigrants that came here, either to have a better life, or as refugees.

People who get discriminated deserve a better life in United States because they have experienced unfair decisions. They should be treated and have rights as everyone else. Racism leads people into a terrible life. There are many students who experience racism. .And white people think that everyone in United States treated the same. If there’s drug or crime problem people blame Latinos, and if there’s terrorist attack people blame Muslims. The problem is people get used to racist comments.

Basically people get discriminated on their skin color, religion, and gender. They experience a lot of stereotypes. Sometimes you get discriminated about your home country. I’ve seen, and heard a lot of racism comments. There was one white lady in the bus telling mexican man to go back to his country, but I think she was drunk. And also there was another hispanic man cleaning auditorium, and man vomited all over the place than he told the hispanic man to clean or he will “build a wall”.People who face racism got use to racist comments, they either speak up, or avoid the comments. Police are also part of the case, and they do a lot of stopping against people of color. I think this case won’t be easy to stop especially in United States. I’ve seen people protesting to get their right, but I think protesting won’t be enough to strive. According to Duggan’s poem, “It does not have a nationality or it does not have a race, Racism can be found in every place” This line of the poem shows that racism exists everywhere.

Rich people are the most racist people in United States. They think they have the power to do whatever they want. Rich people think that they have rights more than middle class people and poor people. They buy houses and evict tenants by skyrocketing rent. There are many people in San Francisco that are facing this problem. Landlords get greedy and sell their buildings to rich people or evict you and lease the shop to a rich person. San Francisco has the highest rent in the US. Many families have been suffering from eviction. Many stores in Tenderloin neighborhood closed because of the landlords. One white landlord didn’t extend a store lease because he said that the store attract many african american, and the only solution is to close the store. After a while several stores shut down.

US is the most racist country in the world. So if I compared United States to other countries, the US has the most racist president. The president have announced that he will deport immigrants. Almost every time the president gives speech he has to mention immigrants. Stopping racism won’t be that easy especially with the new president. People who face racist comments should avoid them. There are many immigrants that have gone through racist situations. What is the purpose of making racist comments against people you don’t know.
