Winning my Debut Hackathon: Make-a-ton 6.0
Hey everyone! We’re beyond excited to share some incredible news — SecHire not only clinched the first prize at Make-a-ton 6.0 (https://makeaton.in) but also secured the track prize from Hedera Blockchain. This journey has been nothing short of extraordinary, and we can’t wait to spill the beans on how it all unfolded.
The Team
Team MakeaMillion, a group of four with diverse skills, came together for Make-a-ton 6.0. We had Nayan Prasad, the video calling and AI whiz; Mohammed Sharooq, handling UI design and blockchain; Nithin Y on the front end; and Athrav J, the expert behind training our AI models.

The Vibes
Participating in Make-a-ton 6.0 was like diving into a sea of (unknown) possibilities. The hackathon atmosphere fueled our creativity and pushed us to think differently. Late nights were filled with coding and problem-solving, creating a shared vision and strengthening our teamwork.
What Set Us Apart
SecHire, our brainchild, was born from the mix of our unique skills and a shared passion for making hiring better. We integrated AI, blockchain, and video calling, creating a platform that streamlined and humanized the interview process. Our individual contributions seamlessly merged, resulting in a project we’re incredibly proud of.
The Victory Moment
When the track prize by Hedera was announced we all were over the moon. We had our eyes on those mechanical keyboards the moment we started the hackathon! Later when we heard that SecHire won the first prize, joy and validation filled the room. The countless hours of coding, shared moments of triumph, and the highs and lows of the journey all led to that exhilarating announcement. Make-a-Ton provided us with a platform to showcase our skills, learn, and build something impactful.
What’s Next for SecHire
But our journey doesn’t stop here. SecHire’s win is just the beginning. We’re excited to refine our AI-driven interview process, add more features, and keep pushing the boundaries of innovation in the hiring industry.
