Fear of serious content rules the Internet

I’ve been late with this month’s list because I have been finishing my latest book. I’ve been a proud member of the Boost Nomination Program for a year now, and I continue to advocate for serious, high-quality content from high-quality writers. It is what readers want, and everything I do on the Internet is to try to make the world a better place. That includes making Medium a better place.

No article about shadow bans for June, because I had only one shadow banned.

June saw a record number of high-quality articles snubbed by the gatekeepers. Speaking of snubs, it appears that I am now on the permanent blacklist. I had for a long time had Boosted two or three articles a month, but June was the first month in over two years that I had nothing Boosted. But I have never complained about how they treat me. My concern has always been about other serious writers being snubbed.

The first June snub was Ali Alzahrani, Ph.D’s great personal article about connections. But it had “philosophy” in the subtitle, so it got snubbed. Fortunately, Dr. Alzahrani is such a brilliant writer that his articles still receive many views despite his work being suppressed, but being snubbed, he will receive one-fifth
