1. Purl
Purl is a special girl. She and I rescued each other in the summer of 2012 — We were meant to be together, without a doubt! I named her “Purl” because she’s a pearl — one of a kind, for sure! I’m a knitter, and she enjoys yarn, of course. So, I used the knitting stitch spelling for her name. “Purl!”
A few things about Purl.
- She has Heterochromia (one green eye and one that is blue).
- She can only have five proteins: beaver, bison, soy, rabbit, and kangaroo! Her diet mostly consists of rabbit.
- She is toothless! I had her teeth extracted due to a disorder called Stomatitis. (An allergy to the plaque on her teeth.) She feels much better!
- Our household was meticulously washing our hands long before the pandemic to reduce the chances of cross-contamination possibilities for her!
- Earrings
On the rare occasion, I accidentally leave the house without earrings, everything feels off-kilter. In my opinion, earrings are the perfect accessory and jewelry choice. I enjoy building my collection — they’re miniature works of art!
