100 Random Thoughts in 20 Minutes

Hopefully this challenge helps with writer’s block

I’m having a crack at this method of challenging writer’s block, as put forward by Paul Combs. I’m in the same leaky boat as Paul, too many ideas coursing through my brain, and not the capacity to get them down in some sort of logical order.

The random thoughts are already getting backed up, so here it goes …

1. Does 20 minutes include editing spelling mistakes?
2. 20 minutes isn’t long enough for someone who types slowly.
3. Because stupid disease.
4. The 20-minute, two-hectare area search is a standard bird survey technique.
5. 20 Questions is a song by The Posies.
6. It's from the album Frosting on the Beater.
7. Calcium is number 20 on the periodic table.
8. I’m such a nerd.
9. My son will be 20 this year.
10. What is 20–20 vision?
11. We don’t use that term in Australia.
12. Is it something to do with 20 feet in distance?
13. That would be why we don’t use it.
14. Because metric.
15. I’m starting to run out of stuff related to 20.
16. Wait, there’s one more.
17. T20 Cricket is a game where each team faces a maximum of 20 overs!
18. A standard over in cricket is six deliveries.
19. Unless you bowl an illegal ball, like a no-ball or a wide.
20. Do you really want a lesson in cricket illegal deliveries?
21. I didn’t think so.
22. Having the surname Overs, you’d think I’d be interested in cricket.
23. I played when I was young.
24. I much prefer baseball.
25. Which I became a fan of when I was about 20 years old.
26. Ok, enough with the 20 stuff.
27. There’s a drumstick under my desk.
28. My drums are right behind me in my home office.
29. I’ve been having lessons with Todd Trainer for almost four years.
