2043 — The year of the pig
A 100-word story
Every second Sunday, when she had a blue ticket, Mrs. Rob would clean her steel. Blue tickets were for water, green tickets for energy. Mrs. Rob was volunteering last night for this extra green ticket, helping dispose of the communal waste. If only her efforts would make a change.
In the wellness center, Mrs. Rob was reading the news headlines:
“Waste situation-under control! When pigs fly! “
“What was this species of pig called?” asked Mrs. Rob.
“Humans”, laughed the receptionist.
Mrs. Rob plugged herself in, took her battery out, and handed it to the receptionist with a green ticket.
This is the first 100-word story I publish online.
