5 Non-Negotiable Rules to Make Sure Your Next Promo Pays Off
#3 sounds small, but it kills more sales than you think
Most solo founders run promos like they’re hosting a surprise party.
No invites. No prep. Just a mediocre cake from Publix. Then they wonder why no one shows up and why nothing sells.
They think getting sales is about who shouts the loudest. They’re wrong.
It’s about setting the right dominoes: timing, tools, and trust.
Because a promo is more of a conversion system than it is a “discount,” and most of you are running yours backwards.
Here are my 5 non-negotiable rules for running a sales promotion that gets you… sales.
#1. Launch on Friday.
You’d be shocked how many brands launch a “weekend” sale on Saturday.
But the weekend doesn’t start then. It starts Friday afternoon, when that direct deposit hits.
That’s when wallets open.
If your promo runs Saturday to Sunday, you’ve already lost a day.
Here’s the rule:
- Launch Friday at 3 PM
- Run through Sunday (or Monday if it’s working)
