If travelling is your passion or if you are travelling for a vacation or for work, then you are bound to make plans for packing all the stuff needed for your trip. But if you are packing on a short notice then you are hard pressed to pack in a jiffy. Here is the deal. How about learning to pack without worrying or stressing over it be it for a planned trip or an unplanned one?. Sounds like music to your ears.. Well, you have landed in the right place before its too late.

Firstly, you need to know that its no rocket science to pack. Whether you are a frequent traveler or not, we all need some quick tips to get the work done effectively. Secondly, packing can be fun. Think of using all your creativity to make it an amusing activity. Why think of it as a boring, tiring and time consuming one.

  1. Start in advance:

Its advisable to start packing few days in advance if you have time. This will give you a broad picture of things to be packed and number of bags needed. If you are travelling on a short notice and don't have much time on hand then consider packing few hours in advance or as soon as you get informed about the trip.

2. Prepare an itinerary of all items to be packed:

This involves listing and noting down all valuables and sundry items to be packed. You can keep striking out the items you would have already packed. This habit will save you time, make you feel organized and this way you wont forget any item to be packed.

3. Categorize in organizers:

Start with grouping similar items together and place in organizer bags or pouches. These are easily available online on amazon.com. Compartmentalizing will give your packing a clean look and it will be easy for you to trace a particular thing instead of searching the entire suitcase.

4. Assemble everything at one place before putting in your luggage bag:

This will give you a bird’s eye view of all items to be placed in your suitcase. Post assembly you can then place all the items one by one inside your bags.

5. Research about the place:

Knowing about the local weather and geography will present a clear picture of what kind of clothes and footwear are to be packed. Also carry one or two extra pair of clothes just in case of emergency.

Bon Voyage!!
