“A Good Time Was Had By All”

The first story I ever edited was archaic and passive. I fixed part of it.

Every writer has a certain phrase, cliché, or mangled metaphor that sends him or her over the edge. One that either irks them or cracks them up.

Or both.

Mine is, “A good time was had by all.”
