It is the little things in life that make me happy. With all the bad news in the world these days, it was nice to find something to make me smile.
The Lakeside Trail
It was a surprise find, which made it more enjoyable. Turning the corner on a lakeside trail, I found my swans enjoying a moment of sunshine. Raining intermittently all morning, I found a ray of sunshine in the early afternoon, and two swans.
Swan Photo Shoot
I stopped to watch them and take a picture. They did not seem to mind and even appeared to pose for a photo shoot. I sat quietly on my mountain bike, enjoying a peaceful moment alone in the woods with my swans.
Looking Back
After five minutes, it was time to finish my ride. I felt bad when I broke the silence, and they fluttered momentarily as I passed five feet away. They quickly settled back down as I departed, looking back once more.
